TAMPA, FL – Lighthouse Academies today announced the establishment of the Alltrust Impact Scholarship. Three Lighthouse Academies graduating seniors will each receive a one thousand dollar scholarship from the fund.
Applicants for the scholarship must be accepted into a 2 or 4 year private or public college or university or a technical program, demonstrate a commitment to community service, leadership and extracurricular activities and have clear goals and aspirations for life after high school and college. A 500 word essay detailing a past or future positive impact to community or others is also a requirement.
“We are thrilled to support Lighthouse Academies scholars in their pursuit of a college education. We firmly believe in the work Lighthouse is doing to prepare their scholars for college, career and life” said Steve Hall, Market President and Senior Consultant at Alltrust.
In addition to the Alltrust Impact Scholarship, several Lighthouse seniors will be awarded scholarships from College Ready Now. Established in 2009 by Mike Ronan, founder of Lighthouse Academies, the College Ready Now scholarships will range from $500 to $2500 dollar scholarships for scholars at Lighthouse Academies.
All scholarship recipients will be selected by April 26, 2019. Scholarship Winners will be announced at college commitment days at Lighthouse Academies schools in May and June.
Last year Lighthouse Academies graduating seniors were awarded over $17 million dollars in scholarships.
