Serving Scholars in New York

At our two New York campuses, we infuse rigorous academics with the arts and social development. Our innovative curriculum and approach is designed to help scholars succeed and to provide them with support even after they graduate. Integrated cultural opportunities augment learning and broaden horizons, opening the eyes of our scholars to their limitless potential.

Bronx Lighthouse Charter School (K-12)

Scholars enrolled at our Bronx campus attend a variety of courses in technology, music, art, and physical education throughout their school day. Every scholar has a unique, individualized learning plan designed to guide them through their primary and secondary school years and ensure they are prepared for their future. We believe every one of our students can succeed when taught important social skills and provided with specialized mentoring and tutoring opportunities. We encourage our scholars to enjoy a well-rounded education through participation in seasonal after-school sports and annual events such as Field Day and the science fair.

Metropolitan Lighthouse Charter School (K-10)

Our Metropolitan campus is a K–10 public charter school located in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. Growing by a grade level each year, MetLCS prides itself on having a family-centered model focused on the whole child. We take a “Responsive Classroom” approach to social development and offer a unique English as a Second Language program. Our scholars have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and forge friendships through participation in a number of sports and extracurricular activities. We recognize the important role that family plays in education and encourage participation in our annual activities, including Family Fun Day, a spelling bee, and more.
